The Electronic and Computer Engineering Department at HKUST is committed to excellence in teaching and world-class research . Our faculty members are internationally recognized as inventors, academic leaders, entrepreneurs, Editors of prestigious journals, and Fellows of peer societies such as the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). We strive to prepare our students to become well-rounded and technically competent engineers who will continue learning in the ever-changing world of high technology. Our laboratories and classrooms are equipped with state-of-the-art facilities for cutting-edge research and multimedia teaching. The curriculum introduces students to both the fundamental and frontier knowledge in electrical engineering such as IC Design, Electronics, Wireless Communications, Multimedia Systems and Processing, Internet and Information Technologies, Display Technologies, Photonics, Bioengineering, Computer System Design, Nanotechnology, Networking, Consumer Electronics, Automation, and Robotics.
